In 2004, a few years before the completion of 100 years of the establishment of the Ahmadiyya Caliphate (Khilafat-e-Ahmadiyya), Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih V (aa) drew the attention of Ahmadis towards certain matters in order to express the Community's gratitude to Allah the Exalted. Those were:
- prayers, humble supplications,
- joining the system of Khilafat,
- publication of Hadith books and of their translation into various languages,
- construction of a memorial at the place where Hazrat Khalifatul Masih I (ra) took the first bai'at (pledge of allegiance),
- acquiring of further land for the extension and beautification of the Bahishti Maqbarah (Heavenly Graveyards) of Qadian and Rabwah,
- assessment regarding the procurement of land in order to build Maqbarah Musiaan (a designated graveyard for those who have joined the system of al-Wasiyyat) in the countries where such a provision is not available and assessment regarding the extension of Maqbarah Musiaan in the countries where such a provision is already available in view of the future needs,
- designing of a logo by the Central Committee for Khilafat Centenary Celebrations,
- holding if Jalsas on the theme of Khilafat on local, regional and national levels,
- holding of an exhibition in the central mission house of each country,
- holding of Waqar-e-Amal sessions,
- holding of medical camps,
- distribution of food and gifts among the poor,
- holding of Religious Founders’ Day Jalsa, Jalsa Seerat an-Nabi (sa), Jalsa Masih-e-Maud (as), Jalsa Khilafat, Jalsa Musleh-e-Maud (ra),
- holding of tarbiyati classes,
- holding of various competitions under the auspices of the various auxiliary organisations such as speech competitions, quiz competitions, essay competitions,
- holding of educational programmes,
- holding of Mushairahs whenever possible,
- holding sports events in order to express our happiness...
