Hazrat Munshi Qamar-ud-Din (ra) was born in 1856 to Hazrat Munshi Muhammad Ibrahim (ra).
He was amongst the 313 companions of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as). At the age of 18, after passing his examinations, he became an employee in the department of education and remained occupied for several years. Due to staunch opposition, he had to be transferred to Bhal (situated in Gujrat). For more than twenty years, he served as a Mohasib Secretary and Sadr of Jamaat Ahmadiyya Ludhiana.
Further works of Hazrat Munshi Qamar-ud-Din (ra) was of such that whenever Sa’adullah Ludhianvi (opponent of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) published vulgar pamphlets against the community, he used to be at the forefront in responding.
In 1914, he endeavoured to uphold the integrity of Khilafat from the uprising sections.
Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) mentioned him in his book Kitab-ul-Bariyyah.
Hazrat Munshi Qamar-ud-Din (ra) passed away on 22 November 1926 at the age of 70.
