Hazrat Shahzada Abdul Majeed (ra) belonged to Kabul’s famous Durrani dynasty. Later, his family migrated to Ludhiana, and because of their loyal status, they received a state pension for many years.

His first meeting with Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as), was through Hazrat Sufi Ahmad Jan in Ludhiana, a place called Sufia. Shahzada Abdul Majeed accompanied Hazrat Sufi Ahmad Jan, on Hajj and, on his way back, took the initiation of bai’at by fulfilling the will and instruction of Hazrat Sufi Ahmad Jan.

Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as), mentioned his name among the faithful members and those who took part in the Annual Jalsa Salana. The books that mention the name of Hazrat Shahzada Abdul Majeed are Izala-e-Auham ( The Removal of Misconceptions), Asmani Faisalah (The Heavenly Decree), and in Aina-e-Kamalat-e-Islam (The Mirror of the Excellences of Islam). Jamaat Ludhiana appointed him as their Imam in prayer.

He was a speaker and used to give Dars-ul-Quran lessons. Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad (ra) appointed Shahzada Abdul Majeed to invite the Iranians towards God’s message.

He passed away on 22 February 1928 in Tehran and buried in the city’s small graveyard.
