Munshi Abdur Rahman was a clerk stationed in Gujrat. He was the brother of Sheikh Rahmatullah.
In the Register of Bai’at, he is numbered at 176 and is recorded among the 313 companions of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as). He used to live in Lahore in a place called Mochi Darwaza. First, he was stationed as a railway clerk and later gave his service in Africa. He was fortunate to be among the 75 people who attended the first Jalsa Salana.
Later, the dispute regarding the institution of Khilafat led him astray. He passed away at the very start of he Khilafat of Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad (ra).
