The actual name of Saqib Zeervi was Chaudhry Muhammad Siddiq. His father, Hazrat Hakim Maulvi Allah Bakhsh Khan (ra) belonged to a landlord family of Zira, Firozpur district. He was blessed to accept Ahmadiyyat in 1905. 

Saqib Zeervi was born around 1918. He passed matriculation in 1934. After matriculation, he learned typing and shorthand and worked in the Sessions Court. He left this job in 1937 and came to Lahore, where became the deputy editor of Ehsan Danish’s magazine Ganjina-e-Urdu. Later, he passed Adeeb Fazil, Munshi Fazil and B.A. as well. 

When he went to Qadian in 1945, he responded to the scheme for life devotion launched by Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad (ra). His waqf was approved in 1946, and Huzoor (ra) sent him for practical training of journalism, from Abdul Majeed Salik, editor of the Daily Inqilab, where he stayed for two years and after the establishment of Pakistan, reported to Huzoor (ra) about the completion of his training. Huzoor (ra) appointed him as his Press Secretary. He was also associated with the Daily Al Fazl of Rabwah and some other organizations. 

In 1952, with the permission of Huzoor (ra), he launched a magazine namely Lahore. In Lahore, he rendered significant services for the Jamaat. At the time of his death, he was the Secretary of External Affairs of Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya, Lahore. 

He had the opportunity to recite the poems of Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad (ra) on Jalsa Salana. For a long time, his political analysis was broadcasted on Radio Pakistan. His poems had been published in the newspapers and magazines of the Jamaat. Many of his poetry collections have also been published. 

He had faced many court cases, especially after the 1974 constitutional amendment and the ordinance of 1984.

He passed away on 13 January 2002 in Lahore at the age of 84. He was buried in Bahishti Maqbarah, Rabwah.
