Captain Haji Ahmad Khan Ayaz was born in 1909 to Hazrat Chaudhry Karam Din (ra). He was honoured to be the first graduate of Kharian, Gujarat district. Later, in 1934, he passed L.L.B. from Law College, Delhi. He had just finished his education when he was fortunate enough to respond to the life devotion scheme launched by Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad (ra). 

On 15 January 1936, he left for Hungary as a missionary, and during a three year period there, he succeeded in establishing Ahmadiyya centres in Hungary, Poland and Czechoslovakia. When he returned to Qadian in 1938 after completing his waqf,  Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad (ra) instructed him to start practising law in Gujarat. When he reached Kharian, he first joined the army and soon became a captain. He retired from his job in 1955 and started practising law in Gujarat. 

During the  1974 anti-Ahmadiyya  riots, he was Amir of Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Kharian.

In 1985, when he attended the Jalsa Salana UK, he went to Hungary and Poland upon the instruction of Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad (rh), Khalifatul Masih IV, to review the situation there. Then after some time, he came back to Pakistan. 

He passed away on 30 April 2001.
