Hashim Saeed was a devout Ahmadi from the UK. 

He had moved to Saudi Arabia in 2000 and served the Jamaat in various capacities. He had a great passion for preaching the message of Islam Ahmadiyyat, and many people accepted Ahmadiyyat through his preaching efforts.

He was an expert in organisational matters, and also had a lot of religious knowledge. He was at the forefront in offering financial sacrifices.

On 11 August 2012, when he went to Saudi Arabia, he had some problem with his heart at the airport. He was promptly taken to a clinic where he suffered from a heart attack and passed away.

During his Friday Sermon on 24 August 2012, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (aa), Khalifatul Masih V, mentioned Hashim Saeed's services for the Jamaat, and said:

"He was among those helpers of Khilafat who are truly the excellent helpers (Sultan-e-Naseer)."

After the Friday Sermon, Huzoor (aa) led his funeral prayer.
