Mian Ghulam Yasin was a member of the Furqan Battalion. He passed away on 1 February 1949, due to pneumonia, while he was on duty. 

Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad (rh), Khalifatul Masih IV, stated in his Friday Sermon of 21 May 1999, that in fact he went there with a passion for attaining martyrdom, and passed away while fulfilling his duty, so he also got the status of a martyr.
