Hazrat Malik Maula Bakhsh (ra) (حَضرت مَلِک مولیٰ بَخش) was born in 1879 in Amritsar, India. He was a companion of the Promised Messiah, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as), and served the Jama’at in various capacities until his demise in Sialkot, Pakistan in 1949.
Early life
Born in 1879 in Amritsar, India, Hazrat Malik Maula Bakhsh (ra) was the son of Sahibzada Malik Sultan Bakhsh. His ancestors migrated from the State of Kashmir to Amritsar about five generations before him.
Acceptance of Ahmadiyyat
At the age of 21, Hazrat Malik Maula Bakhsh (ra) accepted Ahmadiyyat at the hands of the Promised Messiah (as) during the 1900 Jalsa Salana, Qadian. His ba’iat was announced in the newspaper Al Hakam in January 1901, where his name is given as "Maula Bakhsh". He contributed financially to the construction of Minaratul-Masih, and his name was recorded on the minaret at No. 181. (See Alfazal International, UK, 26 November 2021)
Family
Hazrat Malik Maula Bakhsh (ra) was married to Hazrat Karmun-Nissa Begum (ra), and together they were blessed with five children: Aminah Begum, Subedar Malik Said Ahmad, Malik Basharat Ahmad (Waqif-e-Zindagi), Malik Sa’adat Ahmad, and Siddiqah Begum.
Personality
Possessed of a serious and thoughtful personality, Hazrat Malik Maula Bakhsh (ra) employed a cheerful disposition in conversation with friends and family. A loving father, respectful to his children, and a lifelong seeker of knowledge, especially at the nexus of religion and science. He was a lover of Arabic, conversant in classical Arabic, and used to keep homeopathic and electro-homeopathic remedies in his home and distribute them for free to the needy.
Public Service
As Clerk of the Court in Gurdaspur, Punjab, India, Hazrat Malik Maula Bakhsh (ra) managed a variety of administrative tasks in the courtroom. In 1933, he retired from government service and devoted his time to serving the Jama’at.

Legacy
Hazrat Malik Maula Bakhsh (ra) passed away on 27 October 1949 in Sialkot, Pakistan, and is buried in Rabwah's Bahishti Maqbarah, southwest area of Qita Khas (Special Section) near the boundary wall.
