Hazrat Munshi Fiaz Ali (ra), resided in Sarwah, a place in Hapur, district of Meerut. His father was Rasool Bakhsh. Hazrat Munshi Fiaz Ali (ra) was a Hashemite; his forefather Zahid Ali migrated during the reign of Jahangeer (Mongolian Emperor) from the middle-east to India, Qadian.

In 1889, he pledged his allegiance to Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as). Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) mentioned his name in several books, such as in Aina-e-Kamalat-e-Islam, his name is mentioned among the participants of Jalsa Salana. Further, his name is mentioned in Izala-e-Auham, Tuhfa-e-Qaisariyyah.

He passed away on 16 October 1935 and was buried in the Bahishti Maqbarah.
