Hazrat Munshi Gohar Ali (ra) was the son of Jahangeer Khan of Afghan.

Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as), during his second visit to Kapurthala, stayed for three days in the house of Munshi Gohar Ali (ra). He was honoured to meet Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) through Hazrat Chaudhry Rustam Ali (ra) and was honoured to be among the 313 companions of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) - his number in the Bai'at Register is 161.
