Hazrat Sheikh Ghulam Nabi (ra) was among the 313 companions of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) who took Bai’at in 1892.

He belonged to the family of Sethis and lived in Rawalpindi.

His inclination towards Bai’at was through Hazrat Maulvi Abdul Karim (ra) Sialkoti’s uncle Chaudhry Muhammad Bakhsh Sialkoti, who visited him in Rawalpindi. He informed Sheikh Ghulam Nabi (ra) that Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad has claimed to be the Messiah and Imam Mahdi. It is also known that Sheikh Ghulam Nabi (ra) had a close relation with Hazrat Hakim Maulvi Nuruddin (ra) and Abdul Karim Sialkoti (ra). And so he inquired about the situation of Hazrat Hakim Maulvi Nuruddin (ra) and Hazrat Abdul Karim (ra). Chaudhry Muhammad Bakhsh Sialkoti replied both had gone to Qadian. Chaudhry Muhammad Bakhsh, upon his request, brought the Bai’at card although Sheikh Ghulam Nabi (ra) was ill at the time and Chaudhry Muhammad Bakhsh (ra) wrote the words امنا وصدقنا کتبنا مع الشاھدین - that is to say "we believe and affirm and write us among those who witness". Sheikh Ghulam Nabi (ra) attested and declared his belief in Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as).

Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) mentioned his name among the peaceful member of the community in Kitab-ul-Bariyyah. He is also a testimony to the prayer of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as).

It is narrated that his wife had the disease of recurrent miscarriage; through the blessing of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as), he had a son but he passed away after a year. When Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as), came to know, he prayed again; and, as a result, had another son, Karam Ilahi who lived a long life.
