Ghulam Fareed Chachran Sharif: Khawaja Ghulam Fareed of Chachran was a famous Sufi and a follower of the Nawab of Bahawalpur and among the greatest Saraiki poet. He was born in 1845 in Chachran Sharif. He was the son of Khawaja Khuda Bakhsh Sahib. He was acquainted with several languages such as Arabic, Farsi, Urdu, Sindhi, Punjabi, Braj Bhasha and Saraiki. In replay to the supplement of Mubahila sent by the Promised Messiah (as), to Sajjada Nashin (custodians) and Ulama, he replied with warmth and love in Arabic that, I am well aware of your position and consider you a pious and a virtuous man.
On 1 January 1897 Ghulam Farid of Chachran Sharif testified in favour of the Promised Messiah (as).
This nature of his love for the Promised Messiah (as) lasted till his death. He passed away in 1901 and buried in Kot Mithan.
