Hazrat Maulvi Jamal-ud-Din (ra) was amongst the 313 companions of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as). He took Bai’at in 1889.

He resided in Sayed Wala, district Sheikhpura (before Sayed Wala was listed in Montgomery).

Under the influence of Hazrat Maulvi Jamal-ud-Din (ra), Hazrat Mian Abdullah of Thatta Sherka pledged his allegiance to Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as).

In 1897, at the occasion of Jalsa Diamond Jublie in Qadian he had the privilege of delivering a speech in Punjabi. Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) mentioned his name in Tohfa-e-Qaisariyyah, Kitab-ul-Bariyyah.

He passed away on 22 July 1905 and Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) led his funeral prayer.
