The Baitul Ikram mosque in Leicester was inaugurated by Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (aa) on 20 February 2016 with a capacity of 300 worshippers.
The mosque is the first Ahmadiyya Muslim purpose-built mosque in the East Midlands region. The mosque was built because of the opportunity to acquire the neighbouring buildings to extend the prayer centre and officially convert the centre into a purpose-built mosque. The Ahmadiyya Muslim community UK raised above £1M for the project.
