Darul Aman Mosque cost £1m and was funded by the community. Manchester’s newest mosque attracted more than 1,500 Muslims to its grand opening in Hulme. The £1m Darul Aman mosque, on Greenheys Lane, is thought to be the second-largest in Britain. The mosque was inaugurated by Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (aa) on 27 April 2012 with a capacity of 2000 worshippers.
