Zarreen Hidayaat (Bara’ey Muballighin wa Tulaba), [Urdu: زرّین ہدایات برائے مبلّغین و طلباء] lit. “Golden Advice (for Missionaries & Students),” is a seminal work collating the guidance of Hazrat Musleh-e-Maud, Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad, may Allah be pleased with him. Compiled in the Urdu language, this four-volume series is a significant resource for those dedicated to missionary work within the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Published by Islam International Publications Ltd., UK, in 2020 (ISBN: 978-1-84880-215-5), the series is a beacon of guidance for Ahmadi missionaries.
Volume 1 of the series comprises various lectures delivered between 1915 and 1930, providing extensive guidance for missionaries.
Volume 2, encompassing the period from 1931 to 1956, continues to offer valuable insights and teachings for missionaries.
The latter two volumes, Volume 3 and Volume 4, shift the focus towards providing guidance for students. Volume 3 covers the period from 1916 to 1931, and Volume 4 spans from 1932 to 1959.
During his tenure as Khalifatul Masih, Hazrat Musleh-e-Maud (ra) played an instrumental role in the spiritual advancement of the Community, the consolidation of its administrative system, and the propagation of faith. In addition to providing valuable guidance to the murabbian, he consolidated and organised their systems as well. His advice, encompassing both the veteran murabbian and the companions who had the privilege of witnessing the era of the Promised Messiah, peace be upon him, as well as serving as missionaries, has been published in this series.
In his address at the Jamia Ahmadiyya UK Convocation on 13 May 2023, Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (aa) emphasised the importance of this book for every murabbi and muballigh. He encouraged them to study it, make notes, and continuously review these notes to improve their conditions. It is, therefore, an essential source of guidance and a tool for self-improvement for all those involved in missionary work.
Zarreen Hidayaat Bara’ey Muballighin wa Tulaba serves as an exceptional model of the noble path that missionaries should follow.
In his address at the Jamia Ahmadiyya UK Convocation on 13 May 2023, Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (aa) said:
“During his lengthy tenure as Khalifatul Masih, Hazrat Musleh-e-Maud, may Allah be pleased with him, not only assured the spiritual advancement of the community but also consolidated its administrative system while propagating the faith. He also provided excellent guidance to the murabbian and consolidated and organised their system too. He also gave advice at various times to the students and to the murabbian of Jamia Ahmadiyya. This advice, if followed by murabbian and muballighin, could serve as a catalyst for revolution. His advice was not only for the old murabbian but also for those companions who had seen the era of the Promised Messiah, peace be upon him. When they were sent as murabbian and muballighin, he generally gave advice to them.
“This advice and guidance from Hazrat Musleh-e-Maud, may Allah be pleased with him, has also been published in book form under the title ‘Zarreen Hidayaat Bara’ey Muballighin…’ [Golden Advice for Missionaries…]. Every murabbi and muballigh should indeed have this book at their disposal. They should study it and make notes for themselves. Then, as they continue to look at these notes, extract summaries and create points from it to keep at hand, and continue to view it, their attention will remain on improving their conditions, and it will serve as a reminder. Therefore, make sure that you consult it.” (Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (aa), address at the Jamia Ahmadiyya UK Convocation, 13 May 2023, Haslemere, UK)
