On 28 December 1939, after hoisting Liwa-e-Ahmadiyyat and Liwa-e-Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad (ra), Khalifatul Masih II, arrived at the Ladies Jalsa Gah, and hoisted Liwa-e-Lajna Imaillah.
This flag had a full moon, crescent, star, Minaratul Masih, and three date trees with a stream flowing underneath them. The three date trees symbolise three great women of history; Hazrat Hajira (as), Hazrat Maryam (as), and Hazrat Amina (as).
During the partition of India, this flag was brought along with utmost care to Pakistan. However, in April 1949 when the first Jalsa Salana of Rabwah was commencing, the box with this flag was accidentally left on the train; and was never recovered despite all efforts to do so.
On 24 December 1998, then Sadr Lajna Imaillah Pakistan, Amatul Quddus, wrote to Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad (rh), Khalifatul Masih IV, that despite all the efforts to retrieve the Lajna flag, it had not been found, and upon investigation it had been revealed that back in 1949 it was left behind in the train that was arriving from Lahore to Rabwah. She further stated that if Huzoor (rh) would grant permission, Lajna Imaillah would recreate this flag.
Upon this, in his letter dated 22 January 1999, Huzoor (rh) granted permission to recreate the flag.
During the same year of 1999, the Lajna flag was recreated by Khurshid Anjum SBA, and during the same year this flag was hoisted at the Annual Lajna Imaillah Pakistan Sports Tournament.
