In anticipation of the Centenary Khilafat-e-Ahmadiyya scheduled for 2008, Sadr Anjuman Ahmadiyya Pakistan proposed that after the name of Hazrat Hakim Maulvi Nuruddin (ra), Khalifatul Masih I, a foundation be established for the translation and publication of books of Ahadith, Sihah Sitta etc. in different languages. 

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (aa), Khalifatul Masih V, kindly approved the proposal and hence “Nur Foundation” was established in March 2005. 

There is a board that looks after the affairs of the foundation. In addition to a limited number of full-time workers, there is a team of volunteers that assists the foundation in its work. 
This foundation has published the following to date: 

• Shumailun Nabi with Urdu translation. 
• Sahih Muslim complete (15 volumes) with Urdu translation. 
• Sunan Ibn Maja, first volume with Urdu translation.
