Establishment of the Ahmadiyya Mission in China

Ahmadiyyat had already taken root in China during the time of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as), the Promised Messiah, but the first Ahmadiyya Mission in China was established by Sufi Abdul Ghafur Bhervi, who reached Hong Kong on 27 May 1935. 

The first-ever Chinese Ahmadi, whose information was sent to the markaz (Qadian), was Leung King Fung, who resided in Kawai Show, District Santak, Province Kwanteeng of China. 

Sufi Abdul Ghafur Bhervi arranged to have The Philosophy of the Teachings of Islam translated into Chinese, which proved to be very useful in spreading the message of Ahmadiyyat. 

Sheikh Abdul Wahid Fazil and Chaudhry Muhammad Ishaq Sialkoti, were also sent as missionaries to China, in January 1936 and September 1937 respectively.

Mohammad Osman Chou was one of the prominent Chinese people who converted to Islam Ahmadiyyat. He accepted Ahmadiyyat during the Khilafat of Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad (ra). Mohammad Osman Chou prepared literature on the introduction of Islam Ahmadiyyat in the Chinese language. He also translated the Holy Quran into Chinese.
