The periodical Al-Haqq was launched by Hazrat Mir Qasim Ali (ra) on 7 January 1910 from Delhi. The periodical was continuously published during the Khilafat of Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad (ra). In 1916 when the editor of Al-Haqq migrated to Qadian, the periodical Al-Haqq was replaced in the shape of Faruq.
The prime focus of this periodical was to refute the allegations levelled by Pandit Dayanand against Islam and enlighten and develop Muslims in enthusiasm for their faith.
Hazrat Mir Qasim Ali’s (ra) had several debates with Christians, which were later published in the periodical Al-Haqq.
Further, when some members of the community averted from pledging their allegiance to Khilafat of Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad (ra), they began to publish a newspaper called Paigham-e-Sulah from Lahore. Hazrat Mir Qasim Ali (ra) published articles in response; he defended and propagated the true message of Ahmadiyyat in his periodical. Hence, Al-Haqq presented beneficial material in support of the Ahmadiyya movement.
