In February 1911, Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad (ra) saw a vision that led him to initiate the scheme of Anjuman Ansarullah, with the permission of Hazrat Hakim Maulvi Nuruddin (ra), Khalifatul Masih I. (Badr, 23 February 1911, p. 2, and 9 March 1911, p. 8)
It was the duty of every member of this scheme to endeavour in calling people towards God and to propagate the message of Islam Ahmadiyyat.
Till July 1913, through the efforts of the members, two to three hundred people entered the fold of Ahmadiyyat. Thus, the Anjuman created a group of people that preached the message of Islam Ahmadiyyat with great passion.
In July 1913, a member of Anjuman Ansarullah, Hazrat Chaudhry Fateh Muhammad Sial (ra) was sent to England as the first ever foreign missionary of Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya, by Hazrat Hakim Maulvi Nuruddin (ra), Khalifatul Masih I. The major part of the travel expenses was provided by Anjuman Ansarullah itself.
