Scheme for Propagating the message of the Holy Quran to the North Pole

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Canada provided the Holy Quran to towns in the extreme north of the earth. This historical feat was accomplished through Hameedullah Shah. As a radar specialist, it was his job to visit Distant Early Warning Systems (DEW System Stations) in the North Pole. He took permission from his superiors to provide 48 copies of the Holy Quran to the 21 Stations in the North Pole, including to the Alert Station in the extreme north. Similarly, he provided copies of the Holy Quran to the libraries and principals of the Eskimo populations. Hence, the message of the Holy Quran reached this part of the world for the first time through an Ahmadi Muslim. (Al Fazl, 28 May 1981)
