The prize was launched at the 2009 UK Jalsa Salana (Annual Convention), by Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (aa), Khalifatul Masih V. It is awarded in recognition of an individual’s or an organisation’s contribution for the advancement of the cause of peace. The award comprises a certificate and £10,000.

This prize is announced at the Jalsa Salana UK and then presented at the Peace Symposium.
